A recommendation from the wonderful team at Oldwalls Gower led to Laura & Richard finding their perfect South Wales wedding band, 24K. Once the wedding hype had settled down and Laura and Richard were enjoying married bliss, we caught up with them to get an insight into their perfect Gower wedding.
What was your most favourite moment of the entire day?
When the car pulled up and we arrived at Oldwalls – It was the realisation that it was HAPPENING! The attention the staff paid to myself and our guests made everyone feel so special! The band were simply amazing too!
Why did you choose your venue?
I received an evening invitation a few years ago at Oldwalls for a friend’s wedding and I always remember it being a beautiful venue. After I got engaged, I visited one of their Sunday open days and the service and knowledge they provided about their venue was outstanding. Their military co-ordination of the day thoroughly impressed me!
Did you have a specific theme style for your big day?
We had a colour scheme of navy, silver and grey and an overall theme of Gatsby, 1920s and classic. 24K’s golden jackets were definitely a highlight and added to the flavour of the day.
How did you hear about 24K?
Oldwalls recommended that I take a look at Music HQ’s website for the best wedding bands in South Wales. I was also fortunate to book tickets for the popular wedding festival ‘CWTCHFEST‘ in St Fagan’s Cardiff so that I could see a selection of the Music HQ bands performing on the day. I knew after seeing them live, 24K was the band for us! The versatility of their sets was one of the deciding factors.
What did they bring to your day?
Excitement, enthusiasm and a good range of songs from different eras to get everyone up on the dance floor. It’s great to have a cool retro motown band that can turn their hand to anything, especially modern tunes.
What did you think of the service provided by Music HQ?
It was very organised, stress free and they were always in constant communication. No question was ever too much trouble with instant replies. It’s no wonder why a venue as reputable as Oldwalls recommend such a great service for their clients interested in live music. It’s a one stop shop and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Best piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding?
Use Oldwalls Collection and Music HQ. Their expertise in their field made life so much easier.
Looking back is there anything you would change?
